A couple of days of frustration to start off this challenge of ours. I thought we had found a neat little area where there was very little competition for a number of keywords related to a product sold by a merchant we have been looking at.
However, it seems we will not be able to promote this product (which has quite a famous name) because Google says using keywords that contain the brand name breaches some trademark rule. Google's words are... 'A trademark term is preventing your ad from showing'
The bit I don't get is that I thought that lots of affiliates made lots of money bidding on brands. If so, why can't we???
Grrr! Need to understand this as it is an important point. Will do more research tomorrow.
